The game is very well thought out but there are certain bugs that can be fixed as a bug from when you start combat or your save file is "corrupted"

wold map encounters some times fail to start combat. the game locks up and I lose all tamed pets.

Yeah, I found that bug and fixed it. It will go out in the next build! Sorry about that

My friend is wondering about a multiplayer function that allows only 2 people to give the function of twins to the lore, it'll boost the challenge of course as they could enter the battle the other one is in adding additional enemies by doubling the number like there's 3 enemies, it would then become 6 as it'll make it tougher and the twins would have their own party so one twin could have only 1 member as the other would have 2 members for example, it'll add diversity to combat as it'll be very useful for placement with the beings in the game like the archers are in the back so they'll be hit the least amount unless the enemy has a bow so it'll put risk to the front line people, as the archers has too be covered by a person or they'll be free to hit as their would most likely be servers for friend's to play in, as it'll make the game alot more interesting!  Hope you add it.


Bugs I found: Only found 3.5

Follower's being completely removed when they didn't "Die".

The female werewolf "lunging", and when trying to tame a male or female they'll be Abit bugged out.

And

Being trapped after being caught rarely making me have to set up a new save and (this is the .5 part) sometimes I'm not even able to go to menu to save as this only happened once while being trapped happened 4 times already.

But my personal idea is bosses for every 10 floors and a miniboss for every 5 as the minibosses could be tameable, and if other's already thought about this then cool! I'm not the only one.

Multiplayer is probably a no go. I don't see myself doing it with Tamer.
The boss idea is in-line with the current plan for the game, while mini-bosses are in the cards, no work has actually been done towards them, so its a wait and see. The bosses every 10 floors are planned. Giant, Medusa, Skeleton King, Dragon, Kraken Queen, Alpha wolf, and a Frankenstein monster are all planned, not in any particular order though. The 1st will come out when the next lot of floors is released.

alrighty, there ain't alot of multiplayer games that are erotic, that's why my friend wish it was since it seems like a cool option to have as twins would be cool, but I'll go inform them.

The game looks interesting and the graphics very nice, so I wonder.. is there at some stage a Linux version, or if not an online version planned? Good luck with further development!

I have just started building in Linux, so expect that in the next public build. There is a web version on Newgrounds.

So far a search @ newgrounds did not come up with anything.. but I will keep my eyes open!  ;-)

Newgrounds adult games are kept separate, you have to first search 'adult', or 'porn', or 'nsfw'. Then it will ask you if you are looking for adult content and redirect you to the NSFW side of newgrounds. As for finding it in newgrounds https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/763159

Some filter must have been set wrong, but now I managed to find it using a search. It seems to run nicely, the bugs I noticed are already known. So I guess no specific WebGL errors to report... ;-)

When will the people here be able to change their species?

When breeding mechanics are added to the game. Not for a while, but it is planned.

EDIT: I looked into this, and it looks like 32bit isn't as easy as I initially thought, and that 32bit gamers make up less than 2% of all gamers, so I don't know if I will go through the trouble. But, if I see an easy way appear before me, I will do it.

I think this game is rally good but there seems to be a lot of bugs in this game idk if it's just me. Two bugs I have face are.
1. Getting stuck in a fight with no move sets.
2. When you loose a fight and die you cant access your inventory or settings.

I would like to play more of this game  but if these bugs keep happening every time I reset it I might feel unplayable. All I ask is for these bugs or any other bugs to be fixed to make the experience better for more players including me and other people who also face this problem. But the game looks great. :D

Quick Question: when would the next Build come out for this game, as many of my friends would consider giving this game chance and donating tho the last activity was a while ago and they fear it could get abondend because of this hope you can answer, good game btw like it a lot.

Thanks for the kind words! Currently some patreons have a copy of the latest dev build, once I get some more feedback from that I will release the build with some fixes.

Can someone explain how to get the file as a .zip instead of a 7z which just re downloads the file when i open it?

.7z is a zipped file, you just unzip it exactly like you would a .zip. I use 7-zip because it compresses better than the default windows zip, and makes for smaller downloads.

That makes sense for download size, but my problem is the fact that the download doesn’t result in a file, it just results in a link to re download the file automatically. There is no option to extract, unzip or anything similar, sorry if this feels like banging your head on a brick wall...

Sounds like you are just saving the link. Try to download through a different web browser

Patreons can play as the tameable classes. At the moment there is only the Minotaurs and Felines, but soon the werewolves will be in, and the artwork for goblins is being done up this month too

I can't see any of the characters?

Thats odd, what else is happening? Anything else not working?

I can see the top down sprites.  I can't see the character creator sprite, battle sprites, or any of those type of sprites.  Every thing else I think works fine.

Have you tried a reinstall?

Yes many times with no change.

What system are you playing on?

Quite a bit of potential behind this, I feel.
Really, really looking forward to when things are a whole lot more fleshed out.

Hi, your game is really good <3

Well, I started to play your game some time ago and I really enjoyed it, but, well, the game still is in it's initial stage and bugs are to be expected.

When you go train with your companions in the house, if they have the 'Dom' higher than your character, they can perform the submissive actions, even if they aren't Futa or a Male and, well, it's strange. 

Sorry if my English isn't very good, I'm still practicing it.

Thank your for playing Anyviel. There is a % each side of the player's demeanor that controls which actions can be performed, but I have not balanced it well enough yet, it will get better with more feedback, so thanks for letting me know!

I'm stuck. Whatever I downloaded doesn't seem to work with my computer. What do I do?

That is not a lot of information. What kind of computer do you have? Windows, Mac or linux?

Windows, and I downloaded the public build. But now I've altered it and whenever I un-download and re-download, and now it opens with word or something?

It's okay. Delete whatever you downloaded. Download the public build again, then in your downloads folder -> Right click the file and look for 'extract' or 'zip' or '7zip' or something like that. Then find 'extract here...' or where ever you want it, then in the extracted file look for Tamer.exe (the one with the picture), click that and you should be playing

I can't find it and I don't seem to be able to extract anything at all now. I think I screwed up and now whenever I try to download it again, it comes out as a word doc.

Do you have discord? This will be much easier to solve there, join the link from this page if you do.
If you don't, all I can do is give you advice, I would tell you to google; 'Extract .zip on windows' and follow the steps there

You should be able to grab the sides and reshape it, failing that: if you can send me a screenshot of what it looks like on the discord, I will see what I can do for widescreens.

Edit: Temp fix while I fix the sizes for every screen. Alt + Enter will allow you to exit fullscreen, then reshape the game to fit menu

with this come to other platforms such as mac?

I would love to bring this to everything, but I don't own a mac or know anyone directly with one that I could test builds on. So for the moment, windows only. Android sometime in the future. Sorry about that! If I get direct daily access to mac in the future I will make the effort to port it.

Was just wondering, is it possible that you could use unity to port it to mac? Recently there was another game I saw that had no mac version and the creator simply ported it through unity and said try it (they didnt have a mac) and it worked fine. If not its fine but I am wondering if it could work 

I will try it in the next build I put out. Linux and mac.

I'll update this after i get a chance to play, however, as of now I have started the game, clicked the settings in the lower right, then close in the lower right and the main menu is just...gone XD Figured I would let you know


EDIT: Played it and I actually like it quite a bit! I'm excited to see where this goes. Still obviously rough, but it's still young. A note I do have is in the menu in game, i would move the "Exit Game" somewhere else, it seems to be in the place that a "Return to game" button would be and has given me a few moments of "Damn it" XD

Haha, that settings button isn't supposed to be there on the main menu, probably me trying to fix another menu bug! I will fix this in the next batch of bugfixes in the next day or so. Thank for bringing it to my attention Kagekaton!

Replying to your edit: I myself click the exit game button sometimes by accident. So I am writing that down right now to get fixed, thank you for reminding me! And I am glad you are enjoying it!

Found a real nice bug, when you get confronted by a monster while in a menu, you can still defeat them but the battle won't end.

That was deliberate...to... test you?
Just kidding, that sounds like something I need to fix pretty quick!

No problem, I'll do what I can to break the game so I can find all those funny/irritating bugs.

Overall good. Except of course for the tons of menu bugs. Best to save basically after every big action right now. (Fights, training, equipment changes.)

Would like a "Rest" function at home to heal up manually and / or reset the beasts outside. (Does healing just happen when walking?)

I have just added a change in to address the monsters not resetting, they will reset if you enter the house then train or save/load to reload the scene. I am about to upload it now.
Healing is supposed to happen when you die or return from the cave, but since I am making the main cave playable now, only when you die or use potions will you get healed. I will make a temp change to this in the next small update - probably tomorrow.

Excellent question, well asked. Normally I just surrender and it resets them all. But I will fix that tonight and update it, that will reset them all. And then set them to reset whenever you re-enter the house. Will be ready for tomorrow. Sorry bout that! Thanks for letting me know!

Looks really good i hope we get to see an android version

It is in my list of things to do, but at the moment I want to focus on making a quality experience.
Making .apks in unity isn't too hard, it just requires optimization. I am using Unity's 2018 2D animation package, and it's not very well optimized. Once I get an animator on board, I will get the animations done outside of unity and that should be enough to get it stable on android.
I have been making the UI with Android in mind though.
